Johnson and Johnson to ban its talcum baby powder

Johnson and Johnson is going to wipe out its talc Baby powder from the worldwide market by the end of 2023.

Earlier it has stopped selling in the USA and Canada, as several people have filed lawsuits against the company stating that it is carcinogenic in nature. Many women have alleged, powder has contained asbestos and they are facing various health issues including ovarian cancer.

Though Johnson has insisted that several medical and scientific research has shown that powder is free from cancer, and said various misleading information and untrue litigation has degraded the company's reputation.

Johnson and Johnson is in the market since 1894. It said, Talcum would be replaced by cornstarch baby powder as it is already being used in several European countries, soon will also be available worldwide.
